After having to prematurely retire her competition mare Relevé in 2016, Sandy was inspired to begin a small breeding program.
She partnered with Erika Pilimai who has extensive experience breeding dressage horses for competition. Sandy's many years of training horses from start to Grand Prix enables her to have first-hand knowledge of which bloodlines are known for producing talented and ride-able offspring.
Her goal is to not only produce a salable foal, but a foal that will grow up to become a horse that is safe, sane and ride-able up to the highest level of dressage.
Science suggests that a majority of the genetic influence comes from the dam, and Sandy and Erika are meticulous in their selection of broodmares. The dam contributes significantly to a foal’s temperament and talent.
All of their mares have been hand selected by Sandy with the main criteria being, what do they feel like to ride? Emphasis is on a soft supple back, pure and expressive gaits, and a willing disposition. Of course, good conformation ensures the best possibility that a horse will have a long and healthy career. A sport horse will triumph in almost any discipline with three pure gaits and a trainable temperament.
Their mares are then paired with stallions having bloodlines proven to produce horses for the FEI ring as well as attributes that compliment each individual mare. Sandy’s foals are handled extensively from day one and if they remain in her care until riding age, they get an optimal start under saddle as well. Sandy starts her youngsters herself so they receive careful and meticulous training from the very beginning. Her involvement from birth until they day you receive your future dressage star ensures that your partner has received the best upbringing possible.

D-OC Predicate
Top 10 Mare for her inspection year, AHS Studbook approved.
Gialita is registered KWPN and has also been inspected and entered into the American Hanoverian Society registry. She was winner of her AHS inspection in 2018. She has produced two foals, a beautiful filly by Devon Heir and another filly by Gaudi. She is currently in foal to DeNiro Gold for 2020.
Gialita descends from a very well respected mare line in Holland. This mare line has produced several licensed sons and FEI dressage horses. Her sire Uphill is a proven producer of Grand Prix dressage horses as well.
Gialita has a very deep and rich dressage pedigree and she shows great reliability with her foal production thus far. She imparts her foals with exquisite heads and necks, a quick hind leg and her sweet, kind disposition. Mares like this don’t come along often and we feel fortunate to have such a mare in our breeding program.
